Last updated: 2026-03-27

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Omnigram application and related services ("Service") provided by the Omnigram project ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Omnigram is an open-source, self-hosted book library and reading application. The Service includes the Omnigram mobile/desktop application and the Omnigram server software. You are responsible for hosting and maintaining your own server instance.

2. Open Source License

Omnigram is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with the license terms. The full license text is available in the source code repository.

3. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensure you have the right to store and read the content you import
  • Maintain the security of your self-hosted server
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose

4. Content

You retain all rights to the content you import into Omnigram. We do not claim ownership of your books, annotations, or any other content. Since data is stored on your own server, you are solely responsible for your content and its legality.

5. AI Features

Omnigram's AI features are optional and require you to configure your own AI provider. Your use of third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) is governed by their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for how third-party AI providers handle the data you send to them.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services (AI providers, WebDAV, OPDS). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of these external services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
